Brother... I'm tellin' ya. You're going through the same hassle that cost me inches off my hairline last year. Almost NONE of the people selling mounts show a closeup picture of the actual mounting plate.
Almost NONE of the people selling mounts offer a compatibility chart for projector models.
I can't see the mounting plate any better than you can, so I have no idea. Nobody likes the idea of buying blind, but that's where you are at. Best Buy sells Optomas, but they don't sell Optoma mounts. If you search the Interwebs for "Optoma Wall Mounts, "you only get results for generic wall mounts. I know. I feel your pain.
Now you understand why when I saw the word "Universal" in the monoprice description, I threw my hat into the air
like Mary Tyler Moore and did the happy dance... And I kept dancing until the package arrived... Right up until the profanity clinic that ensued when I discovered "Universal" wasn't really "Universal" and the monoprice.com Customer Service department was one airbag deployment away from being full, pants-on-head retarded.Sigh.
BLWTX's mount looks awesome! And a great price, too! Again, because we have Optomas, we have to be keenly aware of the throw distance. BLWTX's mount has no length extension adjustment, so that back wall of your room would have to be exactly 12-14 feet from the screen.
Good luck. Soldier, I wish you well
