Can some one please help!

Recently, while watching a a movie. This only occurs during a dark scene with a bright white lite. such as an explosion or a simply a light. I thought it was the projector, but i got a replace meant through Espon and it is still doing this. Thinking it is a setting or something.. Did this while watching a blue ray and when watching tv though a verizon box. Everything is going through a pioneer 1021 receiver, then through HDMI to projector. I'm thinking it's the receiver.. but not sure

So far,
switch HDMI cables.
unplugged equipment to rest.

Epson 3010
Pioneer VSX 1021
Pioneer BDP 140

Take the receiver out of the equation (plug the projector directly into your source) and see if you still have this issue.
