Can anyone help with a brightness question....?

The Epson 3010 is rated at 2200 lumins and the the 3020 is rated at 2300 lumins. Not that much difference it would appear?

When I use the projector central calculator to calculate foot lamberts there is a huge difference in the 2 projectors. What's going on? Is there some big difference with the lens or other feature? None of the reviews indicated any difference in the projectors like that.

I'm trying to figure out a projector that will work with a 20 foot throw to a 10 foot wide screen. The 3020 appears to work well for those conditions but it's confusing why the big difference in screen brightness.

Thanks for any explaination.

I think there are more advantages to buy 3020 than for extra 100-200 L. I had both, after calibration, it's negligible. Both will work. For extra $200 having Iris adj on 3D, shorter lag time and less cross talk was a sealer for me.
