Just trying to find out if there has been any developments into 4000k resolution projectors? How far off are we, next year @ cedia? 2 years? 5 years? Any word on these?

There are a few 4K i.e ultra HD projectors out right now. The sony, JVC has eshoft, and then the really high end ones.

The last time I heard of something similar it was 4000T and at the time all the James Bond Movies were being scanned at that resolution. The article said it would take a half dozen blue ray discs for that amount of data.

This must be something different, because I read in one forum that Sony is offering 4,000K for $35,000 and a single BR disc for each title. These came with the projector because there are no sources available in that format.

How far off am I? Seems like one BR would never hold all that data.

just cause they have 4K displays don't mean they have 4K content!
However I believe I read where they have a fancy scaller that works really well at making current content look great.. Should probably hop up to the > $3000 forum for more info.
