I just set up my 8350 and noticed the green convergence is ~1pixel off.

Is this an issue of focus and lens shift, or should I return it to receive another 8350 with better convergence?

It's slightly off, but I wouldn't exchange it. You risk getting a much worse one!! Still looks pretty sharp! How's it from viewing distance?

It's alright from viewing distance if it's a movie. The issue is when I'm using it as a monitor; Then it just looks terrible for high detail PC games.

I went ahead and requested another projector, it'll be here on monday. Then I'll do a side by side and see which one is better, and go with that option.

As someone who just graduated with a liberal arts degree, $1100 is A LOT of money, and I'm not interested in settling for a product that's not as good as it could be. I've got the time to do as many returns as it takes... ( ._.)

As an update, I asked for a replacement, and it fixed the issue!

I'm glad I didn't just settle for a sub-par product!

Here you guys go! I managed to find the same frame and patterns for comparison.

It might not be as dramatic on camera, but even my partner (Who's not an AV geek) saw a dramatic difference.

Let me know if you come up with any other questions!

Congrats on getting a good replacement.
And people say Epsons can't have good convergence.

What's the point of buying a 1080 projector if each color is off a whole pixel?!

I'm glad I didn't listen to the "If you don't want garbage you better spend $3000+" crowd. I bet they all have iphones and imported cars. tongue.gif

Any questions about my experience?
