I am finishing my basement and part of it will be a home theatre. Unfortunately the builder decided to place a support beam right in the middle of room - about 10 feet away from the wall I want to project to.
I have had one company have a look and they say the 10 foot distance is no go for projection and I may as well get a large TV instead. I have asked them about "short throw projectors" and they say that type of projector distorts the image especially at 16:9 ratio.
I would like a 100 inch image from 10 feet. Is this possible with a short throw projector and is it correct that they all suffer from distortion?
Thank you I really appreciate any help on this.
