Guys, does anyone have any tips for making 3d pop work?
Every scene i watch with a pop out , whatever is coming out gets completely blurred. I had the same issue with the w1070. Only good pop out is on a 3d demo where the scene is completely slowed down. Any kind of live action movie has depth but no pop. Just watched gravity and there is a ton of scenes, you can tell are meant to come out, but it gets a couple of inches from the screen, then gets completely garbled.
My screen is a custom made frame with blackout cloth from carls place. Using 3dtvcorp glasses (144hz) ...also tried shooting at a super bright white wall, same blurr.
I keep reading all these posts how amazing the 3d is on dlp, but other than depth, which is decent, it gets ruined by the blur.
Any ideas?

So has anyone owned or compared this Acer to the Viewsonic PJD7820HD? I currently own the Viewsonic but there was a few times it would not power on so I was going to exchange for another one but now thinking this Acer might offer the better picture out of the 2 of them.

I do a lot of daytime viewing with my kid so I need bright which is why the BenQ W1070 is not in the running and the Optoma 131Xe's throw distance does not work with my setup.

So after owning this Acer for about a week now I must say I definitely like it better than the Viewsonic PJD7820HD.

The overall pq is just better all around. Considering the price of both of these are pretty much the same, I do not see the Viewsonic offering anything over the Acer. I have not tried the 3D with either and probably will not be buying glasses anytime soon.

I am still interested in checking out the BenQ W1070 and if a refurb comes in stock within the next few days I might give it a shot to compare.

Here are a couple of pictures to show the colors and saturation from the Acer through DirectTV. This is on a 100" screen.

Has anyone mounted this projector with a ceiling mount? Any mount in particular that works well with this projector? Any input would be appreciated.

Here's mine mounted from an inexpensive inland mount with extension pole. Had to get the proper screws M3 screws for the Acer from Sears hardware
