I am having trouble finding a projector that has the specs I need for a large (16' x 9') screen with decent PQ and price.
With the lack of lighting control I understand that I need a minimum of 20 lumens per sq. ft. of screen space. That puts me at 2880 lumens minimum.

So far all I can find under $3k are conference room projectors.
Specifically:
- Optoma TH1060P
- BenQ SH910

Am I going to get decent PQ out of these models? Are there other models that may work? Or am I better off saving my pennies for a while and getting one of the more expensive units that is designed for large screen HT?

[EDIT] I forgot to mention that I would LOVE to go with a Fixed Image Height setup with a 21' x 9' screen but I am not holding my breath for this under $3k, though.

You could try a higher gain screen but nothing short of a dual lamp three chip DLP is going to give you that light output and not be a business projector and that's going to be well north of 50k.

Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of that. I got up to $15k before I started seeing HT projectors with the specs I need. I just wanted to be sure that I hadn't missed something.

Is this for some sort of commercial setup?
