Hi,
I just bought a nice second hand Z5.
The picture is good but needs a little shift of the red panel

Did anyone find how to adjust panels to each other vertically,
and also 1 pixel by 1 pixel horizontally ?
I could only make 2 pixels jumps through the service mode.
Thanks !rolleyes.gif

Not sure if the LCD Block has adjustments or if everything is done through the service menu. If there are three sloted screws on top of the LCD panels that are attached to the optical block you can adjust them there. I don't have a service manual for this one but if you can take a picture of the Block and post it here maybe I can help. BTW don't touch or unseat the panels. you can take a cut down business card and slip it on front of the Panels to see what one is out or alighment,
Be careful if or when you open the case. that you don't rip off the connector that goes to the top board. Open it slowly and look underneath.

Hi Bohanna,
Thanks for your reply !

The 3 panels and the prism are a complete set, not mechanically adjustable.
I'm looking for a more precise way to adjust them.

Untill now I went through the service mode (menu+input during 5s, then screen button)
group 4,parameters 15 16 17 can shift horizontally the panels by 2 pixels ! (which is not too bad , but not enough)

I could not find a vertical adjustment neither.
Do you have any idea ?

Thanks a lot rolleyes.gif

I would buy the manual and toy around with it. MAKE FREAKING SURE YOU WRITE DOWN ANY SETTINGS BEFORE CHANGING THEM. Do not try to keep them in your head. The settings may be relational to each other if the machine has already been worked on so relying on factory /default values will be useless. You may want to print out the two or three service menu pages and jot down all the numbers in each box before you change ANYTHING so you know what to go back to ITSHTF.
