I've been offered a Epson 5010 (EPSON TW9000) for a very good price, since upgrade (5020) is out.

The main difference between those models is the IR vs RF glasses, so I was thinking if it's possible to an external RF emitter for the 5010, and that way "upgrade" the 3D glasses to RF? I guess the "internal" 3D system is the same, it's just the "shutter-transport" that has changed from IR to RF.

It looks like the 5010 is using the m-3di-standard, while 5020 is using the bluebooth-based http://www.fullhd3dglasses.com/.

Does anyone know?
