Just getting ready to build a new DIY screen that is a 2.40:1. Prior to the build, I've been experimenting with the aspect detect and lens memory settings in an attempt to finalize my dimensions. My problem is if I set-up the projector for a centered 16:9 picture, when the projector detects a 2.40:1 input and starts processing the image jumps vertically upward about one foot. The only way I can re-position the image is with the manual vertical positioning knob on the top of the projector. The electronic image positioning function does not allow for enough movement to recenter the picture.

As most blu-ray disks start with 16:9 and then switch to 2.40:1 then back to 16:9 for the menus....I'm having concerns about how practical these features are. I am projecting from the front off of a table with is about level with the bottom of the screen.

Anyone familiar with this problem and know a solution?

Thanks for any ideas
