Great, thanks for your help.

Kraine, thanks for the review.
Are there special settings for 3d mode (color calibration) or it is the same as the 2d?
I see now that on your site, you give this projector 4 stars while the benq w1070 you give 4.5 stars, do you consider the benq as a better projector, if not can you explain the higher score?

Thanks.

Hello.I wanted to know your thoughts on the flickering issues or problems with the optoma HD25 or HD131 since it doesn't have any triple flash 144hz or image interpolations. I'm thinking of getting one mostly for 3D.I'm stuck between these models or the Benq w1500 which has triple flash and interpolation but deals with dlp link only for 3D.I know how much you recommend the RF for 3D.so I would appreciate your opinion and thoughts.

In my Opinion the HD25 and the HD131X are also tripleflash compatible, like the W1070 120hz DLP LINK 3D Glasses aren't working, only 144hz Glasse are compatible.

The BenQ W1070 has better score because out of the box the colors are more accurate and he is also quieter than the HD25/HD131X.

I'm using factory 3D settings, I didn't calibrate the 3D picture, only the 2D.

so flickering is not a problem with the HD25 or HD131X.
thanks for your input and it seems that the RF glasses gives the Optoma an edge for 3D which is what i'll be using the projector mostly for.

You must like it enough to own it. Is it better than the Benq W1070? Thanks

Hi everyone,

My HD700x died yesterday and I'm out for a replacement. The problem I have is that I invested some money on a 3d-XL adapter and three optoma 3d glasses (DLP-Link) and I need to be able to continue using these.

I'm almost sold on the hd131x but I wonder if I will be able to use my three dlp-link glasses directly or I will need another accesory, as I assume the 3d-xl will be of no use here.

Other problem I might have is that I my projector is mounted on the ceiling and the HDMI cable is v 1.3, so a direct connection to a 3d source might be a problem. I have this sorted out with the 3d-xl which is next to my output devices connected with 1.4 hdmi cables, but the output from the 3d-xl to the projector is 1.3.

I will appreciate any advice or information about this projector and how will it fit my needs and constraints.

Regards.

Matt.

Is this a European-only model? I don't see anyone in the US selling it and it certainly isn't $300 cheaper than the HD25.

Amazon UK has it for $160 more than the HD25
