I asked but did not get much of a reply on here and that is o.k. so I used the search function. After days of research I am going with the Optomo ML500. Ebay motorized 100" screen and an Onkyo HT-s3500 5.1 system. I hope to be in my house within a month and hope to have the basement setup to enjoy some movie nights with the kids and wife. I hope to watch some NCAA basketball as well.

About $850 and I will also put my 50" plasma there as well. Going with a 55" LCD in the upstairs living room.

The "guru" answered your post with the Benq 1070 as a suggestion. I suspect that no one else had a better opinion to offer? I didn't. Hope you and the family enjoy the Optoma.

I have had the Optoma and I now have the 1070. Trust me go with the 1070. It's no contest.

Me too, the ML500 is not that good, the W1070 is much, much better
