Do I have to buy the Mitsubishi 3d emitter or is this a generic piece of hardware? For instance, would this work:

http://www.amazon.com/Dimensional-3ACTIVE-Emitter-Compatible-Mitsubishi/dp/B005M3BIMO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365457271&sr=8-1&keywords=mitsubishi+3d+emitter

Or do I have to buy the specific 3d emitter Mits specifiies: #EY-3D-EMT2H? Thanks!

Hi Friend

I just bought a HC7900 and am also wondering if the dimension optics emitter does work. I am looking to use PS3 glasses as I have a limited budget.

Looking forward to your comments if any.

Regards

probably already answered but that won't work. That comes with a 3pin connector and you need a 5pin. I bought it today figuring it was worth a shot and no go.

You can make a new cable for the RF EStar emitter. You could probably do the same with that emitter if you wanted to still use it.

There are details in the HC7800 thread, and maybe the HC7900 thread.
