I looked on the BenQ site, looked on projector central, I can't see what the difference is. Fact is, I'm not sure I can find the W7000 Plus for sale anywhere. I'm trying to narrow down a purchase for in the next few weeks, and It's between the W1070 and W7000. Any help deciding is appreciated.

Well, I figured somebody here would know what the deal was. Guess not eh...

For the next person who comes along, I'll add what I do know, which ain't much.

I see on Tiger Direct they have two models of W7000 priced about $200 apart, with the only difference I can see being, the model number. One they call a W7000, the other is some off the wall 3 part number that looks nothing like the other. Both are described as simply W7000 in the product description. If the W7000+ is indeed the more expensive one, they don't make much effort to sell whatever it's got extra.

Here's the compare on the BenQ site. They went to the trouble of putting two product pages up, but not a stitch of difference between them on paper.

Here you go you poor thing lol

BenQ’s W7000+ is a minor update to the W7000 home theatre projector, with identical specifications and an identical design. BenQ has reportedly made improvements in the projector’s dynamic iris control, for better black levels during dark movie scenes and better white levels during bright movie scenes.

Well, thanks very much! Now all I need to do is get Tigerdirect to tell me why there's $200 difference in their pricing on the same model!

In case anyone finds this thread I'll update it a bit. I called BenQ cust svc and they said the W7000+ is discontinued, and recommended that I not purchase one even if I did find them available. Hmmm. In any case, I bought a W7000, and it gets delivered Tuesday of next week. I hope I'm as happy with this pj as I was with my X10 previously.
