This is my first projector, I'm kind of a bang for my buck kind of guy and trying to decide between the Epson 8350 or the Panny AR100. I have a basement cinema room with recessed lighting and glass block windows. I really want to be able to use the projector when I have company or when the guys are over to play cards. Have read great reviews on both and am leaning toward the Panny because of it's rated brightness but also read that the blacks are not good. I can live with iffy black while the lights are on but am concerned if the blacks are still bad with all the lights out for dedicated movie viewing. Also wondering if I should be thinking about a fairly neutral gain screen of 1.1-1.3 is what I should be thinking about for either projector.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
