Hello all. Just bought a home and will have enough room for my very first media room. The room has no windows and will install dimmers for light control. I'm trying to gather all the necessary info as I'm completely new to this. Looking for ideas on a projector. Criteria...

1. Budget of $1500ish
2. Will be mainly used for low light movie watching through PC, Blu-Ray player, or Apple TV
3. Secondary use will be for gaming. Playing Xbox in mid light conditions.
4. Prefer HDMI capabilities

I know this is very vague but curious as to what models you'd recommend?

Generally the dlp's will be a little better in terms of "gaming lag". Look into the Benq 1070, dlp and 3D, some limited placement restrictions, or Epson 8350, lcd that has alot of "lens shift" for easier placement. A pretty good breakdown on different price range pj's. http://www.avsforum.com/t/1391476/coderguys-top-projector-picks
