I sit about 11 feet from the tv. Would a projector work out in our basement rec room? Costco has a great deal on the projector and screen? It this a good screen that they are offering in the bundle?

Don't know if it's a "great" deal. Not incl shipping total costs is about, $1175 for those two items off the 'net, where costco deal is $1200? I guess you get costco's return advantage, and might save a dollar or 2 on shipping. I'd be concerned with a pull down type screen as they can sometimes become a bit "wavy", but they tend to be less expensive. For that 106" screen, you'd have to mount the pj from app. 10'-16' from the screen with a min ceiling height of about 8' 3". Does that work? You can use Coder's Calc to look at some lumen numbers at those different distances. http://www.eliteprojectorcalculator.com/

Yeah, that would work.

I would get the Mits HC7800D over the HC4000. It's newer and comes with 3D ane costs 1300. The 4000 is great but has been out for a long time and the price hasn't gone down.

For speakers I would have you check out the Pioneer SP-FS52 towers at $200 apair. Bose speakers are overprised and not very good. It's like a home theater in a box setup that's bascically tiny tv speakers surrounding you.

There's a good review of the Pioneer speakers on www.hometheaterreview.com
