I am still rocking an HS10 that has treated me beyond well, and I have entirely this forum to thank for making that purchase a decade ago!

But I'm getting to the point where I could use a fresh bulb and it's looking like replacement options are a little limited. I see a variety of 3rd party bulbs for as cheap as $75, housing included. But none of these seem to have very good reviews. There are a few geniune replacements out there but they look to be in the $300 range.

Just curious if anyone else out there has picked up a bulb for one of these recently and if you are satisfied with it, where you purchased it from?

Thanks!

-Eric

Retired my HS20 a couple of years ago, but here are some prices on original lamps, well under $300.

Thanks for the links, I appreciate it!

Just curious what did you move up to from the HS20 and how was the transition?

Bought the Epson 6010 about 2 1/2 yrs ago. It does everything better, blacks, brightness, 3d, quieter in eco mode. Only thing it didn't have was the power zoom/focus. I've been very happy with it so far. Visualapex has some refurb 5010's for around $1700, same pj, except it's white with no mount, glasses, or lamp and extra 1 yr warranty that the 6010 came with. http://www.visualapex.com/Epson/Projector-Specifications.asp?For-The=Home-Cinema-5010-R

Wow that's a deal, something to think about.

I never found the motorized zoom/focus all that important. For me at least, once it's set I don't touch it again for years anyways.
