If you plan on gaming a lot, the 3020 has pretty bad input lag.

Yeah, I have a 5010, which has similar input lag. I game on it a bit, but mainly game on my monitors.
In your original question, what was your issue with the BenQ, frame rate issues? I've heard it's pretty good for gaming.

the benq had the RBE so i sent it back and like the epson but i think i could alwasy get it and if its not good for games then make it just for tv and movies...

using a projector itself for high fps gaming is a bad idea....

you need a monitor that gives low input lag. also, fps gaming on a big screen is not optimal imo.

Here's a review of the gaming capabilities of the Acer H6510 http://www.projectorreviews.com/game-projector-blog/review-acer-h6510bd.html. But if you have a problem with dlp rainbows, it might not be a consideration for you.

One of the fastest I've seen is the Optoma HD25 which is around 17ms lag time. That's fantastic for a projector.

The Epson 8350 has the same measured ultra fast Lag as the HD25, and being a LCD obviously does not have any worries as far as RBE.

It also has:

  • No Image Off Set
  • Horizontal and Vertical Lens shift
  • A MUCH more versatile Throw / Focal Length... a full 5x longer in fact (13'). The HD25? just a tiny bit over 2'

The 3rd point above means you can place it much closer to the Screen. and with it's prodigious Vertical Lens shift capability, it can be mounted very high. High up & Close + Vertical Shift equate to being able to stand much closer to the Screen when engaging in FPS gaming. And you KNOW what that means.... cool.gif

Read it all again...pretty straightforward.

Yes...it would be better in every respect. No contest what with all your wants and needs being considered.
