I've been looking for some time and can't find them either. It's time to replace my XV-Z12000 that is 10 years old. I missed the boat on the z30000 frown.gif

I contacted BenQ and got a strange reply saying the 7500 was not going to be sold in the USA. Didn't make any sense. When I asked about that strategy (not selling a projector you show on your USA website), the person offered to sell me one direct even though the website said out of stock. Not sure what's going on there....

Very strange...I have the 1070 now and I have thought about upgrading. I will have to keep my eye out for it!

I have a chance of buying this but not sure if it is worth it upgrading to it from a W6000. My other pick is the 5020ub refurb.

Benq, any day, every day.

I had the W7000, went to the 5010. Dumbest thing I did.

well it looks like i wil be getting a W7500 as an upgrade from my dead W6000. I had the board replaced on it earlier this year and bulb weren't working too well with it. They gave me a great great deal on the new model too that i couldn't refuse. I"ll be overnighting my W6000 to them today after work and receive the new one probably next week. I was on the fence between the W7500 or an lcd panel type but i know the home cinema Epsons are organic versus the inorganic for the Pro line and will probaby degrade over time.

I love the dlp look and just will stick with it.

Plus Benq have been really good to me which is a bonus despite bugging them with returning lamps and having my projector accidently sent back east to someone else and then shipped back to me after repairs were done. I'm going to ask them about the firmware if any updates are coming around for it. Now i need to upgrade my silly Home Depot $20 screen and maybe get a secondary cheap receiver for 3D in addition to my Pioneer SC-05.

Was going to ask where you found the W7500, but it sounds like you are getting it directly from BenQ US. Still can't seem to find it available from any US retailers!

I was beginning to think these things weren't coming to the States ....

4k? Wow what a steal. Not. Don't know why this model isn't so available. Four less than a certain other refurb was something that I figured wasn't too bad to pass on. Can't wait to try it out when it comes.

Go see this link. You'll have a heart attack at what we pay. Especially when you consider $1NZD is about $0.90USD

So the exchange rate is not far off 1:1

So you got a refurbished unit of a model that technically isn't even for sale (in the US)? Crazy stuff. Was it a demo or testing unit?

Haven't looked at (fl)e(a)Bay. Going to go out on a limb and assume they are not an authorized seller.

Heck if I can call up BenQ USA and ask for a direct sale on a refurbished unit for half of MSRP, then maybe that's the way to go!

will do then. not sure if they are shipping overnight or not but the lady i've been dealing with for the past few months off and on told me they'll get it out as soon as they receive my W6000. The W7000 wasn't in stock at the time when i complained to them about my issues. The W7500 just happened to be in stock too but it was the only one. The place is a repair/refurb outfit in California by the way. She said i could buy the projector new for the MSRP or stick with the refurb. When i receive it i'll make sure it is what it's supposed to be. Test unit or demo i'm not sure of. Either way I can't wait. Last person i talked to said i wasn't able to get the W7500. I got lucky then. My trade up form clearly says W7500 on it.

Good deal. Sounds like you've had this deal coming to you if you've been hassling back and forth for quite some time over your W6000. It's nice to see something good come out of a run-around situation!

Looking forward to your review.

I'll also have a refurb Oppo BDP-103 coming in on the same day too. Extra bonus i just happen to snag today. That and the projector should be a better combination than the slim PS3.

Still can't find this projector anywhere.

Now it's no longer available on the BenQ webstore anymore either. I chatted with a CSR about this and he told me it is now only sold through AVAD, a subsidiary of Ingram Micro.

Fat lot of good that does me unless I become a dealer.

The search continues.

This is a back assword way to do business that's for sure.

If there are any BenQ authorized re-sellers on this forum please contact me!

^ This.

Anyone have inside information as to why BenQ is suddenly taking this approach with this projector? Not too sure if I want to buy a product for which (seemingly) there may be very few ever sold ....

Nothing really new but I chatted with a service rep and he confirmed benq was in an exclusive agreement with AVAD. When I asked about whether it would be sold through other retailers in the future he said he assumed so. Finally, I asked if there was any indication when this might be and he said he needed to speak with another department for that info and he would email me the information. If I get anything, I will update.

Interesting in that AVAD (hadn't even heard of them) doesn't even list BenQ as one of the primary brands they carry. Still think this is a really strange way to sell your "flagship" projector ....
