Purchased the Optoma GT760 projector a couple of weeks ago. This is my upgrade from the HD66 I have in my bonus room. In one word - WOW!! The difference is like night and day. I have not had to make one single adjustment to any of the settings (brightness, contrast, colour adjustment). The colours and saturation out of the box have been nothing short of fantastic! The extra lumens on this projector definitely make a difference. I usually watch with a lamp on in the back of the room and the image has been great. With the room darkened, the image is just awesome. I was really impressed with the colour saturation compared to the HD66. It took me awhile to ceiling mount it as I was trying to precisely place it to fit the image on a white fabric sheet I hung from the ceiling only to discover later that the projector has horizontal and vertical image shift, which is a big bonus. Watched the Immortals 3D movie yesterday with some Monoprice glasses and was totally impressed. The projector switched automatically to 3D mode. It is a movie with a ton of dark scenes and I was extremely impressed with the detail I saw compared to the HD66. I'm going to watch the 2D version bluray to see how it compares as far as brightness and dark scene details go. It only has one HDMI port and no VESA connection so that sucks and the remote is not backlit but other than that I can't complain. I'm not a gamer so I can't vouch for it's gaming capabilities but for home theatre this is great. I was looking to purchase the Benq W1080ST because it had such good reviews but this Optoma was a good $500 cheaper. I don't know how the GT760 compares to the W1080ST in terms of colour accuracy, saturation, etc., but I don't regret one bit taking the leap and buying the GT760 even though there are no reviews out there.
