I also use projectorreviews.com and projector central.com However I feel like projector central is too lenient on the reviews. They also have great facts as well between the two is where I get more all my info.

Ok so I just found out it has the issue worse when you reduce the picture size with the zoom. But I'm still not a happy camper.

Did you do any research before? This is a well known issue that people have successfully had optoma fix when they've sent it in. Quit crying with your 1st world problems, it gets better.

I've never read this at all. Everyone who has posted in the thread for the HD131Xe who had the issue was able to get an RMA and get it resolved, including myself. Stop making stuff up. Just send your projector in and as said earlier, stop your crying or just take it back and buy something else.

Current HT setup:

Samsung UN65F6300 65" LCD HDTV, Polk CS20 Center, 2x Polk Monitor 75T Fronts, 2x Polk TSI300 Backs, Polk PSW110 Subwoofer.

I have children own a micro business and do better things than make stuff up, it's what I read I didn't say that it was in this thread Nor do I have the time to check every single thread on the Optima projectors. It's more than likely that what I read was old, hell I'm happy to hear there's a fix, I don't remember if it was on projector reviews, or projector Central, or if it was a review on Amazon, or another site. BUT IT WAS WHAT I READ.

Well, you seem to make back-to-back posts and have conversations with yourself on this forum, doesn't really seem like you have THAT much to do, so making things up doesn't seem beyond you. smile.gif

Current HT setup:

I am new to using threads and forums like these, so if I'm not using it right I apologize, we all have to learn somehow, correct? But maybe you think it helps to be rude rather than lending a hand. Have a good night

I'm telling you. Lol
I'm just glad to know there is a fix for the sharpness uniformity. I was super bummed because I like the projector. The hd131xe handled 115 inches in dlp 3d no sweat.
At times the images looked like they were in the middle of my room. I can't wait to get it fixed, optoma should give. Away 3d transmitter or glasses to everyone that experiences this issue.

Well can I turn this Thread around? :)

Just received my Optoma HD25e from newegg. plugged it in to my Xbox one and the initial thoughts are AMAZING! I dont have my screen set up yet so it is just projecting on a light tan wall. I have a few questions:

1. Should I mount the PJ at a height where the keystone is 0 or get it higher? I didnt think it would project up so much.

2. How high should the bottom of the screen be? My living room is 12.3 ft wide and I have a 100" screen I got really cheap, so roughly 92" will be my screen size.

Anytime you have to use the Keystone because your sharpness down,
The bottom of the screen will be determined by how you place your projector if you have it set it zero Keystone you have no control over the bottom height. Go to Google type in HD25E PDF manual and there's a lot of useful information there, I believe it's on pages 22 through 27 on the PEDIA

After you went on a rant and replied to yourself multiple times, I ended up buying a Epson 3020. Thanks for the update though.

Nice projector, if you game at all make sure you turn all noise reduction dynamic iris or any other processing off.

I do game sir... it seems to be the only downside (the mid-level lag). Big plus for me was the throw distance, allowed for a back wall mount vs. a ceiling mount on my 14' ceiling. Good luck with your HD131xe

I ultimately decided to order the HD131 as I could find no eyes on evidence that the HD25e is or is not an actual improvement over the 131, which should be here on Thursday.

Will try to do a half-assed mini-shootout between the 131 and the BenQ when I get the chance, if anyone's interested.

I would like to see the shootout :-)

I ordered the HD25e on specs alone, I saw this thread and so I thought to ask Optoma sales about the matter. They referred me to technical support (really sales? wow) and I got a prompt response from the tech.

"""
The hd131Xe and HD25e use different processors on the main board and a different light engine internally . The HD25e has a better processor and light engine. That is why you get 300 more lumens and better contrast ratio. If you have any other questions feel free to email us back.
"""

I get the projector on Wednesday, it will be an upgrade from the HD66. I expect to be blown away.
