So I know that Mitsu is getting out of the projector market, and I'm seeing what look like some pretty good deals for them (like the HC8000 ~$1500). I'm assuming places are just clearing these out since Mitsu is done. Is that a good deal? I had been looking at a lot of the DLPs in the $900-$1100 range. Would the HC8000 blow a W1070 out of the water for picture quality? I know it's a darker bulb, so takes a darker room and better setup space, but that can be arranged.
Be nice to have the additional lumens out of the W1500 but not that important as I only have a 10-11 ft throw.
Now that I'm looking around a bit more, I'm realizing that the HC5 can be had for ~$1800. And if there's one thing I know about myself with AV equipment, I can always talk myself into spending just a bit more.
Gawd, the more I research projectors, the less I know what I want to do.
