Merry Christmas fellow AVS'ers!

It has been a very very long time since I have purchased a new projector. My last pj was Panasonic AE-100 if you can remember that. Plenty of people buying them from Japan, the price was right. 700 lumens and 500:1. eek! My have we come a long way. My wife and I recently purchased a house with a finished basement. Naturally I am looking to fill that basement up with some new equipment.

With the deal on the Epson 2030, free mount and $125 visa gift card, it may be time to pull the trigger again. My question comes with regard to screen height. I have 7' to the ceiling to work with. I do not know how to figure out if I am going to have an issue mounting the projector upside down with a universal mount on the ceiling and have enough room for the image, top to bottom. I am planning on a 106" (52x92).

Please advise if you are willing and able. I appreciate it.

Thanks!
-Thomas

PS - DLP gives me headaches and the 8350 seems to have so many issues that I am not willing to go there. Totally light controlled room. Hoping that engaging eco mode will not torch my eyes. I am making a fixed screen out of a huge square screen my dad picked up for me... I am not sure of the gain but it appears to me run of the mill type, white.

Spend a bit of time looking at this and you will find the 2030 has a bit different throw when not using keystone. When ceiling mounting the top of image is approx. 5" above the center of the lens. So if the top of your screen is up against the ceiling this might be the projector for you. If not the keystone is pretty good on this model.
