I have a ceiling mounted 8700UB directly above my theater seating. I had to build a 11" riser for the second row, so they could see over the first. The head space is limited. My friend recently hit his head pretty hard on the projector, and the lamp light started flashing. Now the projector doesn't really function. It will come on, and show the epson title. But nothing more than that. The projector doesn't respond to any sort of input. No response to manual or remote button pushing.
When the light initially went off, I assumed the impact broke the bulb. But since it is projecting the logo, and not responding the any pushing of buttons, I suspect there is something else going on.
Any input from those with more knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I have seen this before.  Take out the lamp and put it back in. Works 90% of the time.  Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I checked the manual, and realized it was warming up for quite a while. I followed the instructions and unplugged it for a while. Turned it back on, and it seems to work. It warmed up for quite a while the first time. But now it seems to be functioning normally.
Thanks again. That was a bit scary.
