I was going to buy a Benq 1070, but I see a problem with the focal length.

I was all set to buy one but I was told the distance to the screen being 192" from the lens is not going to work on my 130" diag screen wall.

Any opinions?

Or if you agree what other models might work with similar price quality?

If you have no choice but to put the projector where it is 16' from LENS TO SCREEN, then these are your options:

The Optoma HD25 and HD131 models are closest in quality to the BenQ.

The W1070 hits a 130" diagonal from 10'11" to 14'2" from lens to screen.

The Optoma hd25 is interesting as well as the hd 25e and the hd 25LV

Need to see the differences between all those

The Benq w1500 I guess needs to be compared any opinions with these?

The original hd25 (if you can find one) uses an RGBRGB colorwheel and a brighter lamp while the 25e and 25lv use RGBCYM wheels to increase white-brightness and lower color-brightness. The increased white (using a lower watt lamp) means that proper calibration also lowers the contrast quite a bit on the 25e/25lv. The higher watt lamps cost more to replace, but otherwise the hd25 is the one to get..out of those three.
