Blue Haze from Epson TW6000

Hey guys, a few months ago a blue haze started forming at the bottom right corner of my projector screen. The kids use the hell out of the projector so I just thought maybe it was the bulb on it's way out. Last few weeks the haze has continued to grow to the top of the screen, and just today the Replace Bulb notification has been displayed.

Talked to a friend and he seems to think that it might not be the bulb. Would hate to go and spend $275 on a new bulb and not fix the problem. Just wondering on your thoughts and any experiences with the same?

Here's some pics of the haze.

Looks like a polarizer failure.

The lamp inside your projector is just a light source. It won't create color shifting issues of this nature and is not the cause of the issue.

Unfortunately, this is typically a return trip to Epson to have it corrected.
