PJ mounting height question

Ive got my framing going on right now and wanted to make sure I understand what my mounting options are. If i take the Panasonic PT-AE8000 for example. The manual says that for a 120" 16x9 screen has a height range of -.75 - 2.24m. What exactly does -.75m mean? The top of my screen is 15" from the ceiling and the PJ will live in the rear soffit about 17' away and 8" below the ceiling. Meaning the center of the lens would be about 7" higher than the top of the screen, any issues here? Are most projectors this way, as I'm set on the Panny quite yet. Hoping a sub $5k 4k model is available in a few months. And if you are wondering, going with 16x9 since more sports and TV will be watched than movies.

The Sony 40ES is a excellent choice and perhaps a better choice.

You will have no issue with the 40ES, AE8000, or 5030 models with the offset of 7" you are talking about.

120" from 17' lens to screen can be accomplished with any of those three models. None of them will have any issues.

The newer JVC's with 4K eshift (not true 4k) start around $3500 and would be great for a decitated room.
