Epson 9700ub

A guy that I work with is looking to sell his epson 9700ub. What is this currently worth? What is a fair price for both of us?

The projector comes with the remote and manual and has less than 200 hours on the projector.

This had an MSRP of $3200 new, although discontinued some are still available. A brand new comparable projector with 3D can be had for $2000 to $2500. I would price this at around $1000 to $1500 if you can check it out for convergence and dust blob issue.

Smart enough to know better, to old to care

Agreed. 1500 is as high as i would go.

Even though it was Epson's top of the line when it came out, it must be at least 4 years old. buying a used projector is such a crapshoot. I would need to be allowed to use it for at least an hour or so before i would be satisfied in a purchase.
