Best cheapest Projector?

Hey all. Have thought I will begin saving for a high end PJ like a Sony 55ES or similar ballpark. I have thought recently a cheap one could suffice for now. The Optima25LV is said to be 2500msrp and 859 on Amazon. The Ben Q 1070 seems like it is solid and has GREAT reviews. Other similar Optima's in that range. Epson's as well. Offered an used Ben QW7000 for comparable. I like the Amazon thought that I can return within 30 days and try another if it doesn't work out. I can have it on a stand peeking over the back of the couch which will be a 11ft throw distance or further back but to the side at about 15-16ft. So that mounting option would need the ability to shift the image with an offset resting place.

Your opinions?

Have you considered the Sony hw40es? Not as cheap as the Benq, but cheaper than the 55 plus you get lens shift and easy shelf mounting.

Yes I looked at it. That is just more than I want to spend to play around. I ordered the Ben Q 1070 for 742 on Amazon Prime. It has 307 of 388 reviews as 5 stars which is pretty dang good. If I don't like it or the DLP technology doesn't pass the "headache" test then I will send it back. If headaches are an issue then I will grab an Epson 2030 or 8350 LCD from Amazon.

I just got the BenQ W1070 and have been blown away by it. Pair it with a good screen and I dont know if anyting else at the $700 price point can touch it.

Very reassuring! What screen do you use? I am planning on a DIY screen. I can buy some nicer material but have been looking at spandex screen build thread by Mississippi man.
