Is there a way to check lamp hours when the lamp goes out?

My Epson 5020 lamp just went out, it was a refurb unit so i don't know how many hours were on it initially but i'd like to check the hours (if possible) so when i call i can tell them.

Just curious

Thanks,

You may be able to access lamp hours via the RS232C port - query does exist, details are in the ESC/VP21 Command User's Guide - am just not sure the projector will recognize the command when it's already flagged an operations error.

Thank you.

Howver EPSON warrantied the lamp so i'll be able to check when i get the new one. Thumbs up for EPSON warrantying the bulb just slightly outside the 90 day warranty for my refurb.
