Purple spot problem Panasonic pt-ae3000

Hello! What you think? I cant see spot if im shooting basic red green or blue. Only with white color or on movies. Is this dust or polarizer problem? Or maybe something else? Projector is over 5000h old. Thanks a lot!

You might try searching in the PTAE threads in the >$3000 forum. I know I've seen that before. Maybe the 1000.

It's a incidence polarizer problem, not uncommon with the 3000. A dust blob is usually an irregular shaped object that becomes better defined when you focus the lens on it.

This involves sending it in for repair, finding parts for this projector will be difficult if you decide to try to repair it yourself.

However here is a link to the service manual.

Well, i take a green polarizer plate away. I cant see is there any problems on this filter? What you think? I found place where to order new but its cost, so I need to be shure what is wrong. Can this be lcd panel problem? well that gona cost like helll...

I clean everything so good what I can. Then i put all parts back and start up projector. I can see the problem is still there. but maybe not so bad than its use to be. Or its looks maybe littlebit difrent...

I try to use projector without polarizator plate. first green then red, and finaly blue. I can see purple whitout any filter. Is there any other filters what can cause this? Or do I have bad luck and this is LCD panel problem? Or maybe lamp bulb? Its quite old. Almost 4000h old.
