I'm not familiar with Sanyo. Is Studio Experience another company re-branding a Sanyo PJ or is Studio Experience a Sanyo brand or model line? I'm not familiar with this.

Any ideas how this PJ will stack up against the Panny AE200/300?

cpc Studio Experience is another company re-branding a new Sanyo PJ.
Did anyone got a chance to check out this projector at CEDIA?

Yeah this one looks really interesting!

I think it's 960x540 (i read somewhere it's 964x544?)
800:1 contrast
700 Lumens
28db

and < $2000!

This should compete directly with the AE300!

hmmm between the AE300, PLV-Z1 and HS10 is a real toss up...

But the AE300 seems to have some "anti-screendoor" technology.
I'm not sure if this Sanyo does (?).

www.*************** have put up the price on their website now. Similar specs to the AE300 but a bit cheaper.

AE300 USD $2,050 to europe
LP-Z1 USD $1,826 to europe

Cool. Hey we're getting more for our money. If things keep up at this rate we can't lose. I just want to see the Panny AE300 and Sanyo/Studio Experience PLV-Z1 rebadge compared and I'll have a better idea.

Here in Holland we would pay some 250 euros for import, and then 19% taxes on top of that amount, so I orderded mine in Germany which means, no additional costs except for shipping. Comes to a total of 2030 euro's including shipping.

Thanks!

I've decided that if I'm going to spend $2k I would really like to have a US warranty with some sort of dead pixel policy...

Wow! Streeting in NA under $2K USD?! Thats the Studio Experience rebadge of the Sanyo, right? Thats pretty cool. What does that mean for Canadians? I could buy from the US and send it back to the US for warranty issues? I guess it might come to Canada but for some insane reason PJ's up here are way crazy expensive.

Do you think this will be released in the US soon? Also, if I get one of these from PJ's site, and they come out here in the US, would I be able to get it serviced (if neccessary) here? That would be the best of both worlds... I'd be able to get it ASAP and wouldn't go broke if anything happens to it :D

Wow. I am still amazed. Under 2K USD and available in North America. This should have an affect on the prices for the upcoming AE200 and AE300 versions that will be sold in North America, that is, if Panasonic gets the message. I hope it makes AE200/300 prices in Japan AND here drop.

I Think it interesting that no one's mentioned that since lase week, the Japanese Price of the AE-200 has dropped by 1000 yen, and the Sanyo Z1 has dropped by 6000 yen.

May it be just the beginning.
