Are there any shops around the San Francisco Bay Area (California, USA) that demo a 1 chip DLP projector? I've been planning my Christmas gift already with a used NEC LT150 but before I go any further, I want to make sure I'm not one of the small percentage who get dizzy from DLPs. :(

Do you have Tweeter stores in your area (www.twtr.com)? They carry the Yamaha DPX-1 in many of the stores. The demo I saw looked great except. I didn't see any rainbows in the little I watched, but then again I'm not particularly susceptible to them.

Magnolia HiFi has the InFocus ScreenPlay 110. They also have the Sharp Z9000. I heard they were also getting the DWIN T2

San Francisco Stereo on Mkt in SF carries some, I believe the Sharp and pos a Dwin or Selco , Harmony in West Portal has the Yamaha DLP, Mateo Hi Fi in San Mateo has had the Sharp, they are funky and more likely to cut a deal than the others. And I've seen the Sharp at a Magnolia out near Danville and the Infocus at the Magnolia in Colma or is it South City? Most high end Stereo and HT shops should be showing something.
Just call around. -bd

You may also want to try calling the various Fry's locations and see if they have projectors setup. The Fry's here has the Toshiba MT7, the Panny AE100, Sony HS-1, and a Canon pj setup in a darkened room.
