Here is what I'm asking...

When a projector (X1 for example) is advertized as 1000 Lumens 2000:1 Contrast how do they measure that? Dark/black room with the projector set at a certain distance from the screen? with minimum zoom?

The way I look at it, When you zoom (wide - tele) the picture the same amount of lumens has to cover a larger area therefor it gets a little dimmer and the contrast goes down. So when you buy a 1000 ANSI lumens projector are you really getting 1000 lumens at 15' distance from the screen or more like 600 - 700?

Hope it make sense to you guys.
