When you are ready to give your first impressions it might make more sense to post in the 2100/2150 thread instead of here in the old 2040 thread. You are one of the first to receive one and there's a lot of interest in that thread about how it performs. Here's a link to that thread:

Will do, thanks.

Oh, that helped a lot mate, than you! The movie (most here) are 24 fps and the closest i can set is 50 hertz to the projector, am i doing it right?

Use 23 Hz (23.96 Hz) when watching movies in blu-ray. Most of them are in that Hz. Are you watching blu-ray, DVD or on the computer?

Anyone having problems with your receiver shutting off your projector. I have had a Sony and a Yamaha and same thing. I have sent my receiver and projector back and they give me fixed ones and I still have the same problem after about 30 min projector shuts off. If I skip the receiver the projector will stay on all night

There is a setting in the HDMI communication that you can turn off so the HDMI turning off won't turn off the projector.

Recently with about 3400 hrs on my bulb I've seen seen flickering only in eco mode. Has anyone experienced this? I thought about putting it in normal for a couple days and seeing if it can fix it.

Hello everyone, tell me please how can I make that at a brightness of 45 were clearly visible details on a black background? Simply when the brightness is reduced, the image becomes much better, in my case 45 is perfect, but the details in the shadows are lost, with the brightness of 52 details in the shadows very clearly visible, but the kartika is very bright and the black is worse. Sorry for my English I wrote through an interpreter.

My 2045 with 2800 hours on it turned off last night after going to a black screen and the fan going on high for a minute or two, then stopped and there was just a flashing status and lamp light. Called Epson and they said it's an internal power error, and to try another outlet. It's working again when I tried a new outlet and the existing one, but hard to say I trust it at this point.

I just bought the 2040 and it arrived today.

Is this projector difficult to line up without vertical sync? From a ceiling mount with extensions.

I'm used to an Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 that I have had for over eight years. It has the vertical sync and it can at times be difficult to line up.

Thanks

I hate this projector! I tried for hours to get it lined up properly. When using the ceiling mount. the projection was too large for my screen on the minimum zoom. It is 13 inches from the front of the projector to the 120 inch screen. Then I tried sitting closer on a table and couldn't get it straight no matter what I did.

Just very frustrated with this projector. The picture looked great, but lining it up is a pain. It is packed up ready to be sent back!
