I recently purchased a BenQ MH 680 projector. I am trying to get a picture on the screen. I have a Pioneer SC 35 avr and have the HDMI from the projector going into the back of the avr's HDMI out 2. I can't get what is playing on the Bluray disc player to show on the projection screen. I also Have the avr connected to a TV which is HDMI out 1. TV works fine and can see BD movies on the TV. If this thread is not in the right section, please refer me to the correct section. If I connect an HDMI cable to the PC and the other end to the projector, I get an image.
Thanks for the response. I can't find a way to activate the HMDI out 2. I will try and reach Pioneer's tech support again. I waited on the phone on hold for 45 min. today and nobody answered.
The projector is working with excellent results. I brought an HDMI switch and connected it to the control HDMI 1 output on the avr. A quick review of the BenQ MH 680: excellent PQ. The scan function for looking for HDMI, Internet/network, ect. is a little slow. This projector throw distance is not as large as some projectors that cost more. Very little to complain about and overall I am more than pleased with the purchase. Even with a couple of lights on in the room the PQ looks as good as an HD tv. The screen comes down in front of the TV. If I new the PQ was this good with a couple of lights on, I may not have mounted the TV on the wall. I could have went with a permanent on wall screen. The projector is relatively quiet. So, easy to install, easy to use, good PQ and a thumbs up!
I owned an MH630 (nearly identical to the 680) and it was a great little unit, very bright and very reliable as we used it for a daily use display and racked up 3000 hours within ~7 months.
