I wonder if any of you have run into this issue ... I have a NEC LT 155 projector connected to my HTPC which gives me the ability to run both the TV and the projector at the same time, with the same display. In calibrating the projector, I have noticed significant difference in the shade of green between the proj. and TV (Sony). The shade of green from the proj. is luminous compared to the green on TV which appears to be rather dull and flat. This isn't so apparent with red and blue hues.
Here's the problem - I notice tints of green on skin tones on the proj. but not on the TV. Is it possible that the studios use colors that appear natural specifically on TVs when they master DVDs ?
