Anyone tried using the rgb from the euro scart into the rgb in the vga in of an older projector?

What about component into vga? Which signal is more similar to the vga in of the two?

I'm wondering how my old Davis DLS8 would look with something like the Limit 9900SE (or any other player) in either in either interlaced or progresive mode.

My HT1000 has such an adapter from scart to vga, so was thinking of using it to see what kind of picture I would get, but I don't want to try it unless I know it won't damage it.

TIA

Gary.
