Thanks for the tech info Mark... I am intrigued about KBK's offering here, but I guess I still have the problem of: "If it ain't native 16:9, the screen composmises are not my cuppa joe."

Is there something in the 16:9 family that you can rebuild to make it better, stronger, faster Ken?

Mark

There is no difference in HDMI cables. If you can see the picture without visible dropouts or sparklies, the cable is working at 100%. No other cable will display a better version of that picture. You're simply wrong if you think there is a better digital cable than one that is already working.

Our 16:9 machine will not be cheap. However, it will be the machine to die for. Image fidelity it will have... and out the wazoo.

Ken: What is "not cheap"? An idea on pricing?

Totally custom machine/chassis. Impossible to predict pricing before it hits the streets. And very foolish to do so. We are going to have some fun with that one. Thankfully, I will be off the order desk soon..and people will actually be able to get their orders on time....and correctly sent out too! :D. US distribution of our product is picking up now...... Infocom was frighteningly successful.

So I get to go back to R&D and production. That is where I am most effective by a long shot. I can churn new product out faster than it can be manufactured.

Ken...

Absolutely brilliant idea... matching a screen to the projector... It just makes too much sense. Congrats on getting it done.. Should I recoat my goo screens with it... Let me know when I can pull the trigger and come out with it with all guns blazing...

Any word on the Goo 0.5??? This thread implied there was one out there months ago. I have to imagine their price will have to drop down below $2k as the months go by without a release (ie. I would have been willing to pay $2.2k in April, but only $1.5k after CEDIA) Hate to see them waste all that development time.

I also want to know what happened to the Goo .5 projector. Did you ever sell any of these? Have you given up on the idea? If so, can you share how you modified your X1 to get all these great specs......... :)

I thought I would bump this again. I really do want to know what happened to the projector. I assume it was just a prototype that you decided not to market? If so, can you give us some hints of what modifications that you made KBK???? Also does anybody actually own one of these projectors?

There doesn't seem to be the slightest mention of it on Goo's website.
www.goosystems.com

There is a contact page ... maybe you could drop kbk a line?
