I have the sanyo z1 and I have the apex 2500 progressive DVD player. I need help setting up the dvd.
These are the setting choices:
audio out...spdif/raw or spdif/pcm
tv display....normal/ps or normal/LB or wide
tv type.......multi or ntsc or pal. I think in the US it is ntsc.
speaker setup......LT/Rt or stereo
Also, I looked in the owners manual to find where I set the output to either 16:9 or 4:3 and they don't mention this. In the maual it says to change to progressive scan to push the I/P button but when I do this nothing appears on the screen to let me know what mode it is in.
Hope someone can help.
Cheers Doug

Try these:

audio out...spdif/raw or spdif/pcm - use spdif/raw if putting into an Amp/Receiver via spdif
tv display....normal/ps or normal/LB or wide - use wide to give you 16:9
tv type.......multi or ntsc or pal. I think in the US it is ntsc. - use multi so you can play NTSC or PAL disks without having to change setup
speaker setup......LT/Rt or stereo - not required if using the spdif so set it to stereo
