I'm trying to use an Infocus 130 for Home Theatre use, and I'm trying to figure out where to place it.

The manual has a table that shows Max distance going out to 30'.
On the calucaltor pages (projectorcentral, infocus) the maximum disatnce you can plug in 13'.

Are these numbers just guidelines. What happens if the projector is further then 13'. Is it just that the image gets darker and larger ? Why woudl this projector (1100 Lumens) have a max of 13' while the X1 is 30' ??

Also this projector can not flip the screen. To Ceilng mount it I will need to really crank in the keystone (basically point it at the floor ;)). Does this have any "bad" distortion issues ? My other option is to try to flip the screen in my computer.

Thanks very much

Yep, I would say you will get a darker and larger picture by pulling the projector back.
If it can't flip the screen then I would say you are limited to using it upside down.
What about installing it on the back wall?
