I just got off the phone with a northwest forum sponsor. Their website states they are out of stock but when I called, the sales rep said they had just gotten some in. So I ordered one. It should be here Monday or Tuesday!:D

Kornbiz247.........I'm a 2HD dealer, and we had physical stock of 9 units...What your saying about SE dealers not stocking is absolutely false!

partly in kornbiz's defense, i got the following email from studio experience when i inquired about my order placed through a dealer. i am sure studio experience ships to dealers and to individuals depending how the order is placed

Curtis,
We do plan on getting our 2HD's very soon. Can't give you a firm time but check w/me on Monday and I'll be able to update you better. The unit, by the way would ship to you from here. We are based in Seattle.

Kind Regards,

I finally got my Z2 on wed night and have set it up on a Daylight cineperm
92" hi-contrast screen . My basement is dark blue and ceiling is black felt material so controlled lighting is the norm. I have set it on hi-contrast mode and the blacks are simply amazing . Thank god I got it in time for Super Bowl weekend.

see pics link http://members.rogers.com/ronwjr

P.S the pic is so bright I got to wear shades.

Bedo...

Here is a pic that shows just the mounting plate portion of the mount.. for the Z2.. You can see based on the vents that I wanted to keep intact why I didn't go with the 2 shape... Note this is just the bare metal non coated yet...

Mandarax,
Just now seeing the picture, it looks terrific!

How do I determine the drop from the ceiling? The screen is fixed, I will have to mount for a happy medium. The screen will be 9" from the ceiling. I will be able to choose two positions for the screen height. 18" from the floor and 30" from the floor. At 30" the top of the 52X92 screen is 9" from the ceiling. We will be sitting directly underneath the pj. The lens shift will be able to take full advantage of the choice of screen heights and the 30" from the floor position will be the default, unless proven otherwise. The throw distance will be 135"-140".

Thank you for advice, I can't believe how close I am finally getting! :D :D :D

Jeff...

Thanks for the kind words... I am really pleased with the way it turned out..
The tolerance on the screw locations and the cutting of the underside of the projector is incredible...

The mount stays homogenous to the design of the projector ...something I try and achieve with each one... I also like the way part of my logo cnc laser cut into the plate looks too.. My endorsement...

Will email you some particulars... Making this stuff is a lot of fun..
