Looking at the Epson 2030 at Best Buy... seems like a pretty nice upgrade.  I'll do some research here, but any thoughts anyone?  Thx

I located the part on the Panasonic part replacement website. The K-P.C board lists for $110. So factor in labor cost for repair.

Have never owned an Epson but you will find plenty of comments on their models here.

Good luck.

I still have my AE900 running in my home theater. Replaced the bulb about a year ago. Picture is still great. I would love a newer projector (especially a better refresh rate) but I don't want to spend over $1000 and I need the same throw distance/range as the AE900.

No. Not planning on it. Unless I find something that works in the price range that makes sense.

Panny 2017

There are still a bunch of us die hards with the panny. As you can tell from my avatar there she is still up there from 11 years ago new and 1800 hours on the original lamp now when I secured it to the ceiling! I will when the technology and price are right purchase a new projector but what a heck of a run so far!
