I have an Optoma H31 and would like to connect it to my Directv Receiver. Can I get a picture by connecting the receiver output directly to the projector, without going through a television? If so, will it work for a HD Reciever also?

Thanks,

Patrick

Patrick, as long as you have the audio out from the DirecTV reciever going to a receiver for sound, then you could run the S-Video (preferred) or composite video directly to your projector. With my BenQ PB6100, I have an S-Video cable run to the projector for my DirecTV and a Component cable run for my DVD player.

With an hd receiver, you will need to run at least component.
