Looks good for a 25 year old movie. Just had time for a quick screening. Looking forward to watching it again soon when I have more time and less football.

Could someone post pictures of the opening scenes in "The Fountain"? There are many dark scenes in there that would test the projector's shadow detailing.

How important is the projector screen for detail?

All these screenshots long damn good! but all use different screens... It doesn't seem that important. I was told you should match the screen to your projector weaknesses. Is that what you guys did?

The screen brand/type is what I keep looking for.

Sony XBR-75X850C - Living Room

I use a high contrast gray screen material from Elite. Cost about $100.00 and looks good with my IN72. I am about to build a 2:35 DIY screen and exp. with some paint solutions.

These are fun threads, but 90% of the differences you're seeing are attributed to photography skill, camera quality, and general computer savviness (image editing, compression, formatting, ect...). You should not be trying to make any sort of decision in screen, resolution, or display technology based on off-screen shots.

I'm sure we all know this. This is why we ask the screenshot poster about their setup.. Like I'm doing now.
