The current released version (v1.4 RC1) does not support the Special ISF C3 Mode and is missing several Controls (as you can see in the pic below).

Here is a peek of the Edit/View Options in the next version which will be ready soon...

I dont see any instructions for this? How do i know if its talking to my projector? I have a Mitsu HC1500. I have it connected, but dont really see anything indicating that its working?

I tried pushing Refresh and just get a bunch of Confirm Send? functions. I click yes and after many presses, get an error, no communication from display?

Assuming you are using the serial cable that came with your Projector.....

In the ControlCAL Terminal Window (at bottom right), does it have something like "COM1:9600:8:None:1:Flow=N" or does it state "No Port Opened!"? - NOTE: You don't want it to show: "No Port Opened!"

COM1 in the above example is the COM Port and is the Port ControlCAL attempts to open by default. Usually, the serial port on a laptop is COM1 and there is a modem on COM3 but this may be different on yours.

Have you configured your COM Port from within ControlCAL (from the MENU, under SETTINGS, click on PORT)? Try different COM Ports, it will alert you if the Port cannot be opened.

You need to select the COM Port that you connected the Serial Cable to on your computer. (You can try other COM Ports, but you really should know this part)..

Once you start ControlCAL and select the proper COM Port, press F12 a couple times... then try pressing "REFRESH"

In the Terminal Window (Advance Mode), type the following 4 characters and press ENTER (for Mits HC Series):

00PP

..Those are Zeroes..

You should see a reply from your 1500 (in green), something like "--> 00PP+05[CR]" without the quotes (assuming your Contrast was set to +5).

You can also try:

00!

..which will Turn Power On (for Mits HC Series)..

00"

..which will Turn Power Off (for Mits HC Series)..

I know I need to work on documentation... I've been busy coding...

Can you reply with the specific message about the missing DLL?

You do need a minimum of 32MB for the Video Card. If you have a Video Card that uses shared or dynamic memory, make sure it is allocated a minimum of 32MB.

Since I updated the source to be Vista Compatible, some earlier O/S Versions may have issues now.

I am running a little behind my earlier schedule (didn't get much time over the last two days due to family priorities) and Easter is a couple weeks earlier this year..

The next release is getting close.... but I don't want to post a specific date.

I am going to be calibrating my Mitsubishi WD2000u projector soon. I purchased their calibration CD but after reading the pdf file, it definitely is not 'user friendly' and this product seems to be more user intuitive to use. Is it supported by my projector? I do have a RS232 connector? Do you need any more info from me to support it? Please let me know

Support C-band, the only true satellite signal, More information HERE

If you have the Serial Code Documentation, you can edit the Built in Mitsubishi HC Series Display Profile using the proper codes for yours.

You can attach the Docs here and I will take a look.... I am pretty busy now with the Pioneer Profiles so I am not sure if and when I could create the Profile for you. ControlCAL does allow you to create Profiles yourself though. It really depends on what Controls the Manufacturer supports via Serial for the specific Display.

To anyone out there: If the cable did not come in the box, is there a cable or connector that I could buy at Fry's that would work for an HC3000.

I just checked my box and it is not there. It is possibile I lost it, but I don't think so, since I have only had it a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

I just set up an HC1500 for someone else, and out of the box I could tell it has some color/tint issues. I noticed the tint control in the menu is disabled. The manual says it's only enabled for NTSC content. They will primarily be using the projector for HD content.

Will ControlCal give me the ability to change the tint even when viewing HD content over HDMI, thus overriding the disabled user control?

I found the answer in the HC1500 RS232 document:

"Some commands are not executed depending on the input signal. The operational restrictions same as those on the menu setting are applied. Refer to "Menu operation" in the User Manual for more details.

I'll check out the service menu next time I'm over there.
