Don't get me wrong the Samsungs are great drives too (I have an older HD203WI 2TB one in my backup server), I actually prefer the Samsungs to the normal WD green drives (because of the 8sec head unloading issue), but I consider the WD AV GP to be superior to the Samsung.

Yes, the WD drives were mostly older <1TB mass market grade drives.

I've heard good things about the WD-AV drives and I was planning to buy some last year, but then the floods hit. I had enough Samsung 2TB's for current needs anyways
