HVR-1250 (HVR-1265) in 2014

I recently bought an HVR-1250 card for use in a linux mint system (latest version as of 8-2-2014). The cards are boxed and sold as HVR-1250, but actual contents and components are marked as HVR-1265.

The short of it is that the 1265 is not yet linux compatible, and the wealth of information on the internet regarding 1250s and linux doesn't apply. Does anyone have an idea if the 1265 is going to happen on linux any time soon?

Alternatively, can anyone recommend a currently available low profile pcie ATSC tuner card that is reliable in linux? I don't care at all about recording; I just want to watch HD tv through antenna. Planning to use Kaffeine as viewer.
